| Safety Reminders: |
On Deck swinging.
Little League Rules and our
league prohibit the swinging of bats in any
ondeck area or cage. This is a safety issue and
has been the cause of more injuries than any
other single cause. On Deck batters should stay
in the dugout and should be told to not pick up
a bat until they go to the plate. |
Dangling Throat Protector
Please make sure that all
catchers helmets have dangling throat protector,
Rule 1.17. The following link is a article on
this very important safety issue. If you need
one, I have them.

Lightning Safety:
“The bottom line is that if you hear
thunder, you need to get inside
immediately,” said retired Air Force
Brig. Gen. David L. Johnson, director of
the NOAA National Weather Service.
“Lightning can strike up to 10 miles
from a thunderstorm, which is about the
distance that the sound of thunder can
travel and be heard. All thunderstorms
produce lightning, and each lightning
strike is a potential killer.”
